Plain-English terms for a very emotional few days. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you book.
These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of thenewriwaaz.com and to wedding content services provided by The New Riwaaz (“TNR”, “we”, “us” or “our”) to you (“you” or “the client”).
Every booking is made up of these Terms plus your written quotation and booking confirmation. If they conflict, the quotation and booking confirmation take priority.
1. Our services
TNR provides social-first wedding content coverage. Depending on your package, this may include:
- Live Instagram stories during your functions.
- Edited reels, including pre-wedding hype reels.
- Candid content and behind-the-scenes coverage, shot mainly on iPhones.
- Running your wedding's social presence or posting on your accounts.
- Raw footage delivery.
Your written quotation sets out exactly what is included: functions, dates, coverage hours, number of creators, deliverables and turnaround times. Anything not listed there isn't included, but we're happy to quote for it.
2. Enquiries, quotations and bookings
- An enquiry or a quotation does not reserve your dates.
- Your booking is confirmed when (a) you accept the quotation, (b) we receive the advance payment, and (c) we confirm the booking to you in writing. Email or WhatsApp counts as writing.
- Once confirmed, these Terms and your quotation form the agreement between us.
- Any change to the agreed scope has to be confirmed in writing by both of us.
3. Payments
- 60% advance at the time of booking, to secure your dates.
- Remaining 40% before coverage begins on your first booked function.
Any different schedule must be agreed in writing. Applicable taxes will be shown on your quotation or invoice.
If a payment is late, we'll contact you first to sort it out. If it still isn't paid before coverage is due to start, we may pause coverage until it is, as set out in your booking.
4. Travel and accommodation
For weddings outside Delhi-NCR, the team's travel, accommodation, local transport and meals are not included unless your quotation says they are. We will tell you the expected costs and agree them with you before your booking is confirmed.
5. Your responsibilities
To help us do our best work, please:
- Share accurate dates, venues, timings and an event schedule.
- Tell us about changes as early as you can.
- Share must-capture moments, key people, and anything that is off-limits, before the wedding.
- Arrange venue access, entry passes and any permissions that are within your control.
- Give us account access or a collab set-up before the first function, if we are posting for you.
- Make payments on time.
We'll follow the agreed coverage plan with reasonable skill and care. Weddings are unpredictable, so we can't guarantee that every spontaneous moment will be captured.
6. Changes to dates, venues and plans
- If your date, venue, functions, timings or coverage hours change, tell us as soon as possible.
- We'll do our best to accommodate changes, subject to team availability. Extra functions, hours, creators or deliverables may cost more, and we will quote before making the change.
- A change is confirmed only when we both agree it in writing.
- If we can't cover a new date, section 7 applies.
7. Cancellation, postponement and refunds
The cancellation and refund terms that apply to your booking will be set out clearly in your quotation and agreed before you pay the advance. No cancellation charge applies unless it was communicated and agreed in this way.
If TNR has to cancel for reasons within our control, we will refund the amounts you have paid for services we can't provide, or offer an agreed alternative.
8. Coverage, editing and delivery
- We deliver the deliverables listed in your quotation, edited in our style and in line with the creative direction we agree.
- Your quotation will say which deliverables arrive the same day, which within 48 hours, and when the clock starts (for example, from the end of each function).
- Live stories and posting on your accounts are included only where your package says so.
- Your package includes reasonable edit requests on reels. Extensive re-edits or new concepts after delivery may be charged, and we will agree this with you first.
- If something outside our reasonable control causes a delay, we'll tell you promptly and agree a revised timeline.
9. Raw footage
- We provide the complete raw data captured during your agreed coverage, in addition to your edited deliverables.
- We can share it through Google Drive, or copy it to a hard drive that you provide. The drive should be compatible and have enough free space.
- Cloud links may have size limits and access settings, and may only be available for a limited time. Please download your files and keep your own backup once you receive them.
- Raw footage is unedited. Some clips may be shaky, out of focus or incomplete, which is normal.
10. Permissions
- You are responsible for venue rules and permissions that are within your control, such as whether filming is allowed in particular spaces.
- Media you send us (photos, music, logos, references) should be yours to share, or used with permission.
- Please let guests know a content team will be filming and posting. We will respect guests who ask not to be filmed, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- TNR remains responsible for how we ourselves capture, store and use content.
11. Ownership and use of content
Unless your booking says otherwise:
- TNR owns the copyright in the original creative work we produce, including edits, reel concepts and raw footage.
- Once paid in full, you may use, keep, share and post all delivered content and raw footage for personal purposes, including on your own and your family's social media, with no time limit.
- Commercial use needs our written agreement, for example paid brand collaborations, advertising or selling the content.
- Music, platform audio, fonts and templates belong to their owners and are subject to their own licence terms (see section 13).
12. Portfolio and promotional use
- We'll ask separately before featuring your wedding on our website, social channels, ads or awards submissions.
- Saying yes is optional and never a condition of booking.
- You can limit what we use (for example, no pheras, or no family faces) and withdraw permission for future use at any time. We'll remove content from channels we control within a reasonable time, but we can't recall content that others have already reshared.
13. Social media platforms and music
- Instagram and other platforms set their own rules, features and algorithms, and these change often. We can't control them.
- Trending audio is used through each platform's own music library and licences. Platforms may mute, limit or remove audio, or restrict it on business accounts. Reels delivered as files may not include licensed music outside the platform.
- We make content to be shared and loved, but we can't guarantee views, reach, engagement or virality.
- If we post on your accounts, you remain the account owner. We will use access only for the agreed purpose, and you can revoke it at any time.
14. Circumstances beyond reasonable control
Coverage can be affected by things neither of us controls, such as extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, serious illness, accidents, venue shutdowns, network outages or safety risks.
If this happens, we'll tell you quickly and work with you on a fair solution. That might be a substitute team member, a new date, adjusted deliverables or a fair refund for services we can't provide. Nothing in this section takes away rights you have by law.
15. Liability
- We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill.
- If something goes wrong because of our failure, we'll work with you to put it right first, for example by re-editing or delivering missed items.
- Except where the law does not allow a limit, our total liability for a booking won't exceed the amount you paid us for that booking.
- We aren't responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, or that were caused by things outside our control.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or affects your rights as a consumer under Indian law.
16. Using this website
The reels, images, text and branding on this website belong to TNR or are used with permission. Please don't copy or reuse them without asking. We try to keep the website accurate, but packages and details are confirmed only in your written quotation.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If there's a problem, please talk to us first. Most things can be solved with a conversation. If we can't resolve it, either of us may approach the courts with jurisdiction in Delhi, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission or other forum available to you by law.
18. Changes to these Terms and contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on this page on the date your booking is confirmed applies to your booking, unless we both agree in writing to a later version.
